The Mission Development Certificate (MDC) program offers time deposits, which are similar to certificates of deposit offered by banks. Congregations, ministers, member, Presbyteries, and related entities in Washington, Idaho and Alaska are able to invest in MDC’s. With as little as $100, you can start earning interest and helping churches at the same time. Every investment matters and makes a difference!
We offer a variety of maturities, ranging from 6 months to 5 years, each earning you a fixed interest rate. There are two types of certificates: Growth and Income. Growth certificates are like a savings account with the interest paid at maturity. Income certificates are like a certificate of deposit, with interest typically paid every six months. Larger investments can earn income monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
